The Financial Wellness Program is here to serve you. As you navigate the many financial decisions you will make during your time at Pitt, we are here to support you and provide you with tools along the way. Below, we have listed a few resources to help you on your financial journey. Check them out and feel free to contact us for help or further information.

Budgeting & Saving

The first step to managing money is knowing what money do you have coming in versus what money do you have going out. The below resources will help you in budgeting your income.  

Credit

Credit is the ability to borrow money or purchase goods and/or services with the understanding that you will repay a lender at a later date.  As college students, it is important to understand how credit works before accessing it. Check out the resources below to help understand credit.

Financial Aid & Scholarships

When attending an institution of higher learning most students and families will find it necessary to apply for some type of financial assistance. Students are encouraged to complete the FAFSA to be eligible for various forms of financial aid and scholarships here at Pitt. The FAFSA becomes available on October 1 every year. Students are encouraged to complete the FAFSA early. Its best to complete the FAFSA before May 1 just in case you are eligible for State Grants.
